About Kermit Channell & Associates, LLC
Graduated from Elon College in North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in biology and minor in Chemistry in 1987.
Upon graduation, I was employed with the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory’s Medical Examiner’s Office. In 1990 I worked as a Forensic Serologist until being tasked with establishing a DNA laboratory in 1995, holding the positions of DNA Supervisor/Technical Leader and CODIS State Administrator. In 1997, I helped establish the DNA Database program in Arkansas and provided direction for advancing convicted offender legislation. I was promoted to Scientific Operations Director in 2005 in charge of all laboratory divisions. In 2007 he was appointed by Governor Mike Beebe to the position of Executive Director.
